Arvin, an Iranian immigrant born in Sweden, moved to the U.S. at a young age for the same reason most people do… opportunity. The land of opportunity didn’t come without its fair share of challenges, however. Arvin was forced to learn English as a third language on top of trying to fit in as a foreigner. He has always been passionate about language and writing, whether it be editing papers, writing content, or simply jotting random ideas in his notebook.

Arvin graduated with a Bachelors in Cell & Molecular Biology from San Francisco in 2017 while working as an electrician for his father and driving for Uber. After graduating from SFSU, Arvin spent two years working different jobs while trying to figure out his next move. He received an EMS certificate from Chabot college, shadowed a Pathologist Assistant at a local hospital, and worked as a Lab Technician in San Francisco dealing with cadavers and helping physicians.

Arvin currently works as the Lead Lab Technician at National Bioskills Laboratories and is also enrolled in a Digital Marketing program at UC Davis. He is looking to incorporate his passion for writing into the digital marketing space as well as learn new skills and create more opportunities.
